Update: Mayfield and Easthouses Healthy Living Group

The Mayfield and Easthouses Healthy Living Course kicked off at the MAEDT Centre on Monday 14th April, with participants getting the chance to try some beauty therapies and learn hand massage techniques. We also had a planning session to decide what people would like to have a go at over the rest of the course.

The next session on April 28th marks the start of the full programme. We’ll be taking health checks and deciding what changes people want to make in their lives during the progress of the course. To help with this there will be input from Jennifer Russell, a Midlothian based Life Coach, who will run an introduction to the principles of coaching and help with goal setting.

If there are changes you’d like to make in your life, whether you want to feel fitter, more active or just to feel better about yourself, this is the course for you. If you’d like to come along there are still places available, so feel free to get in touch.
You can find out more about this group on the HELPP website or give Rob a call on 0131 660 5055.

HELPP in Mayfield and Easthouses

HELPP is relaunching in Mayfield and Easthouses with two great new groups.

Rob, our new development worker, has been working closely with local people to design programmes that will benefit the whole community in Mayfield and Easthouses.

The first course starts on Monday 14th April and will offer pilates, tai chi, yoga, health MOT’s and much more. The course will run for six weeks and is the perfect chance for people in Mayfield and Easthouses to improve their health and get in shape for spring.

The course is completely free and a free creche is available. It will run every Monday at the MAEDT Centre, 12 Bogwood Court. If you would like more information the call Rob on 0131 660 5055, email rob@helpp.org.uk or visit our main website.

The second Mayfield and Easthouses group sees a return for our hugely popular walking groups. The group will run every Thursday, setting off from the MAEDT Centre, and will take in a number of walks around Mayfield and Easthouses. The group is free and is ideal for parents with prams and buggies. Details will be confirmed shortly so keep checking the blog and our main website.
