After a successful first meeting we have now planned our course at Glencorse barracks. The course is for the partners of active service personnel.
At the first meeting particpants indicated that they would like to try yoga and this will form the core of the activities.
There will also be healthy eating advice and demonstrations, excercise advice and much more.
The course starts on Thursday 15th May, 6-8pm at Scot’s Corner.

The Mayfield and Easthouses Healthy Living Course kicked off at the MAEDT Centre on Monday 14th April, with participants getting the chance to try some beauty therapies and learn hand massage techniques. We also had a planning session to decide what people would like to have a go at over the rest of the course.
The next session on April 28th marks the start of the full programme. We’ll be taking health checks and deciding what changes people want to make in their lives during the progress of the course. To help with this there will be input from Jennifer Russell, a Midlothian based Life Coach, who will run an introduction to the principles of coaching and help with goal setting.
If there are changes you’d like to make in your life, whether you want to feel fitter, more active or just to feel better about yourself, this is the course for you. If you’d like to come along there are still places available, so feel free to get in touch.
You can find out more about this group on the HELPP website or give Rob a call on 0131 660 5055.

HELPP is delighted to announce the launch of a new course aimed at the partners of soldiers stationed at Penicuik’s Glencorse barracks.
The free Healthy Living Course will cover salsa, yoga, pilates, healthy eating and relaxation. As part of our ongoing commitment to working with different groups to tailor courses specifically for their needs we’re holding an introductory session so that participants have their say about the content and structure of the course.
The introductory session will take place on Tuesday 15th April at 5.30pm, Scot’s Corner at Glencorse.
